PWA views not being updated

Hi,

We have a Project server 2003 sp3 installation, using project professional
sp3 clients.

We have a problem, some projects will not get their views updated on Project
web access. We have published them many times but we don't manage to get them
updated.

At the same time we have the folder Viewdrop of the server full of XML files
that won't get processed, actually we have files from 2 days ago. That
happens some times. In a few days they'll get processed, but we don't know
why they take so longer to process.

Thank you

Well that answers your first question. Project publishes will not appear in
PWA until the XML files have been processed.

As to why the XML files are taking so long, that would take a lot more
research. Do some research on the newsgroup for "XML files not processing"
or something like that. Could be a number of different things, among them a
corrupt project.

These are processed by the vwnotifity.exe application. It is single threaded
and is one of the major performance bottlenecks in a project server 2003
implementation. Make sure that this is running okay and consistently.

Hose,

Take the backup of xml files in a folder & restart the VWnotify services
(Project server view notification services) & start putting one by one xml
(if you have lot of XML files) on the basis of timestamp of files.

Hope this help.
