PWA Vista Compatibility Issues

Robert

Hello,

There are several issues with IE7 in Vista when looking at PWA. For
instance when you click into the project center, you can not click on
the project and drill into it. Clicking it does nothing. There are
several other spots which do the same thing. Is there a fix for this
or a work around? Anyone experiencing the same thing?

I'm facing the same problem with IE 7 in Vista and in XP sp2. I can't also
use the Resource Center.

Yes thats the other issue we are experiencing. Anyone have a fix or
know a work around?

Make sure the security level for your trusted sites is set to low. Usually if
that's the problem it shows up earlier, but it might give problems like
you're experiencing. Another IE setting I've seen referenced is to enable
"Access data sources across domains" under Miscellaneous.

Thats the first thing I checked. Everything is set to enabled, but it
doesn't seem to matter. Anyone with more information about Vista
Compatibility?

Robert:

Were you able to install the Active X objects? You should see an empty box
telling you to click here to install the objects in any display that relies
upon them. If you are unable to click where it says click here to install,
then I suggest that you go to Control Panel, turn off the Windows Firewall,
reboot, browse to PWA and try again. After installing the Active X objects,
you can re-enable Windows Firewall.

I haven't figured out which specific setting in the firewall prevents the
installation. When I have more time, I'll figure it out.

Gary,

I got all of the clients Vista machines working, so it was just one
vista laptop that was initially having the issue. It wasn't that fact
that he couldn't install active x controls, it was that he couldn't
click into projects in the project center and a couple other things.
I am thinking it was group policy, or something local to that machine
that was causing the issue. Thanks.
