PWA with PS2007: does it require xls 2007? word 2007?

I am trying to export some things from pwa (2007) to excel from the actions
menu. It gives me an error and it only allows me to export as xml info. Is
this happening because pwa 2007 requires the 2007 version of xls??? same
for other office tools???

thx

Hi, it requires Excel 2003 or above. The errors are probably due to security
issues.

HI, it seems weird as I have all access, admin rights. This was actually
reported by another person that also has admin rights (full access)....

Anything else that could be causing this??

Many thanks!!

In PWA 2003, I'd see the same thing if you didn't put your PWA server into
the Trusted Sites zone.

Check your IE settings:

Internet Options - > Security; select the appropriate zone and then
"Custom." In the resulting list make sure Miscellaneous -> "Launching
Applications and unsafe files" and under "ActiveX controls and plug-
ins" "Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for
scripting" are both set to "Prompt" or "Enable"

Hope this helps...
