PWS

Hi,
I’m trying out the new project server and I ran into a problem. On my server
I installed SharePoint, immediately after I put project server on the
machine. They are bold installed as a standalone machine whit default
settings.
Under the administrator account everything seems to work fine. But whit a
normal user I’m unable to log into pws.
I gave him administrative rights to the Portal and PWS. He can log into the
portal fine, but in pws I get “Error: Access Deniedâ€.
The same user can go to “pwa/_layouts/settings.aspx†and change the settings
of the pwa.
Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Ward,

is it possible that you actually trying to access the top level site from
WSS and thats where you get the error message?

In order to access PWA you usually have a PWA link something like:
http://servername/PWA

Can you aceess this pages ( which represents the home page of PWA)?
Thanks

To diagnose this, you may want to allow anonymous access in IIS to the
directory.

Thanks for your time. I found my mistake. I did not realize that pwa had its
own users. If someone has the same problem. The users can be added in the pwa
under server settings. It is available in the menu on the left.
