Px using Word 2016 on iPad & iPhone

I own Office 2016 and have it on my Win 10 computer. When I try to use Word on my iPad or iPhone , I am asked to sign up for Word 365 and can't edit older docs or create new ones. Earlier, I had no problem using Word on my iOS devices. Anyone know why I am having this issue?? Thanks.
