Q: access 20003 file format

J

JIM.H.

Hello,
If this is not right group for office 2003, please give me URL. I installed
Access 2003 and I am wondering if there is any need to convert file format
from 2000 to 2003? What benefits 2003 file format gives?
Thanks,
Jim.

For converting: According to Microsoft, the 2002/2003 format is supposed to
be faster and more stable.

Against converting: You will no longer be able to share files with anyone
who is still using Access 2000. You can convert back again if necessary, but
I would not recommend converting, in either direction, more often than is
necessary.

If you're sure you'll never need to share the file with anyone who is still
using Access 2000, go ahead and convert. If not, stick with 2000 format.
