query design grid gone

H

Henk

In one of my databases for some queries the design grid is gone and I can not
find a way to get it back. Anyone a suggestion?

The database has been built in Access 2003 and I opened it in 2003 (on
another computer). When I open the same database in Access
2007,....................... the grid is back.

But I need the database in Access 2003.

Thanks in advance,

Henk

Hi Henk,

my guess is that you resized the panes on a larger monitor and the grid
is off the screen...

try pressing F6 ... the function key to switch between panes...

Hi Crystal,

tHenks for your prompt answer. I think you're right about the screen sizes.
F6 does not do the trick unfortunately. Since I do see the grid in Access
2007, I there put it upwards, save the database in 2002 - 2003 format and
import the query in my 2003 Access database. It's a bit complex, but
.................. it works.

Kind regards,

Henk

Hi Henk,

you're welcome

here is another option:

switch to the SQL view of the query and copy the SQL statement

make a new query and paste the SQL statement into the SQL view ... then:

1. right-click on first query, choose Rename
2. press ctrl-C to copy the name
3. press ESC because you don't really want to rename it
4. then, delete it

then, switch to the new query, save it, ctrl-V to paste the name of the
original one...

Warm Regards,
Crystal
