Hello,
I am fairly new to Access, and can't figure out this query.
I using Access to access the our SQL server tables from
MS Great Plains using ODBC links. I am trying to get a
commissions report based on multiple criteria and have
tried everything, but keep getting a variety of errors or not the desired
results.
I needed to add a criteria based on customer class which made me add a new
table link. I added the table to the query and after a few attempts linked
it another table. At first I was getting the message "The SQL statement
could not be executed because it contains ambiguous outer joins. To force
one of the joins to be performed first, create a separate query that
performs the first join and then include that join in your SQL statement."
Well, I stopped getting that error when I set up a link and now I've added
criteria to my query and the results are ignoring the date parameters that I
had set up originally.
I'm not sure if the ambiguous outer joins message has anything to do with
the query not providing accurate results. I just need a query that shows
the results based on criteria for 4 separate fields from 4 separate tables.
Thank you in advance.
