Query number of records

How do I query the number of records in a table, with multiples of the same
value.

Can't I just use the Count( ) method? I tried using it while having the
table in my query, which didn't allow me to bring up the field, while using
it in the expression at the same time.

Try using a group by query

SELECT TableName.Site, Count(TableName.Site) AS CountOfSite
FROM TableName
GROUP BY TableName.Site
