Query using > and dates

I am trying to write a query using >#8/1/2005#, however, this expression does
not produce the results I was hoping for. I am trying to pull information
from my table for dates greater than August 1, 2005. Am I using the wrong
expression, I would think that the expression above should work.

and what did you get. We can't see your screen nor read your mind.

That looks good to me, and it works. What are you getting as a result? Dates
prior to 01 Aug 2005?
