I hope the following provides all the information for people to help
me with this problem:
The database:
Using Access 2002 tracks containers shipped from our two factories
abroad. Each factory's shipping information is continued in its own
table (i.e. 2 tables of data). The tables are very similar except for
a few fields which are unique to each as the two factories handle
their shipping slightly differently.
The primary end user frequently runs queries to provide him with the
list of containers awaiting shipment, currently on the water, in
customs etc. The query results are returned to standard datasheets.
I am trying to design a simple query which can combine these and
return the results in one.
So, for example, I want one query which, when run, searches both
Factory A and Factory B's tables and returns a datasheet of all those
with the status "Arrived". Searching either is easy but I have been
completely unable to find away to find a way to search both tables
with one query and return the results in one worksheet.
Any help (desperately) appreciated.
