Question about Auto Accept Agent

John Cradock

A client of mine has a number of users with Entourage 2004 and Exchange
2003. The users need to be able to schedule events on calendars in the
public folders and also have them appear on their own calendar. I thought
this would be possible using the Auto Accept Agent, but it doesn't seem to
work.

For example, a user creates an event and he wants it to appear on a public
calendar as well as his own calendar, and then wants to invite others as
well. If he creates it on the public calendar and invites himself as well as
other users, it shows up on the public calendar and the other users get
invitations, but he doesn't get an invitation and it never shows up on his
calendar. With the Auto Accept Agent, can I create an account with a
calendar that is shared, and then have the user create an event on his own
calendar and invite other users plus this account (which auto-accepts) and
have it show up that way? We've tried setting this up and it does not seem
to work. Any help is appreciated.

Hi John!

Calendars in Public folders don't have E-mail addresses, which the AAA
will need to send a response. They also can't invite people to events.

Are the pf calendars for the resources themselves or are they shared
group calendars? Shared group calendars will have to be manually updated.
