Question about checking in enterprise projects

I had a workstation crash and the "read only" message comes up when trying
to open the project. I went to checkin the project and got this message:

"Checking in this project will prevent the user from saving the changes"

My question: Is there any way to hook back up with PRoject and save any
unsaved changes into Project Server? I am thinking like Word might do after
a crash?

The unsaved changed were lost when the workstation crashed. You will simply
need to check in the project and start from the last saved change. Sorry.
