Question about MS Office Editor in Outlook

I have a question about MS Office Editor in Outlook when I start a new
e-mail message. I have just started to use a signature block for my
outgoing e-mail messages and I noticed that the Font above the signature
block is Arial Size 10 and the Font after the signature block is Times New
Roman Size 12. Is this the way it suppose to be? Also, how can I change the
default Arial Size 10 to something bigger. In other words, is it possible
to change the default. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
