Question about next level up from Self-cert

I played with SelfCert, but then found out that my company has put a company
certificate in the trusted directory on each PC at our company. How do I
create a (personal?) certificate based on that RCA instead of the one that
selfcert uses? My assumption is that if I can create a certificate off the
company RCA, then users should get the macro warning box even under high
macro security, and be able to add my as a trusted source so they don't get
macro warnings from me anymore.

And just to make sure I understand what I'm looking at, how to I make sure
the company certificate is an RCA, and not just a company "user" certificate
that they actually purchased from a third-party organization like Verisign?

Many, many thanks-
Keith

Hi Keith,

No one here will be able to answer your questions. You have to talk to the
person who created or purchased the RCA and has control of its use.

There are several types of certificates -- some for code signing, some for
documents, etc. -- and maybe different ways of creating them. If it's the
kind from Verisign that I'm familiar with, there will be two files -- an
executable and a private encryption key -- plus a password that you need to
enter when you run the executable. The person in charge of the RCA will have
to provide you with all three of those items and instructions for using
them.
