Question about Ribbons/Tabs - rearranging - Word 2007

Hello,

When I open a word document it shows the home tab. It shows Clipboard,
Font, Paragraph, Styles.. The Styles takes up a lot of space and I never
will use it. I'd love to have things I'd use more often instead such as
Print, word count, mail merge, insert pictures, columns etc. I realize
that I can get to them by clicking on other tabs. I'd love to have all the
things I actually do use (just like I use to have with all the previous
versions of Word on the first tab/ribbon or whatever they are calling it.
Is there a way to change the home tab so it doesn't show styles and shows
buttons/icons for the things I would like? I'm sure it is it is obvious but
for some reason I can't figure out so much that I did for the last 10 years
with ease.

Thanks

Thanks for the offer and the answer. It seems like MS really screwed the
pooch on such a logical thing. It is always a BAD idea to take away
features from previous versions. It was very easy to customize the toolbar
in previous versions, now they remove that ability?

The better description would be that they didn't add that ability. The
Ribbon is a completely new thing and so everything one wants needs to be
added from scratch.
