Question: Is there a book or web site that documents the Microsoft Outlook file format?

Does anyone know of a book or web site that documents the Microsoft
Outlook file format? In particular, I'm interested in the Calendar
and Tasks records.

are you interested in the ical, vcal, vtodo format (which outlook supports
in varying degrees) or Outlook binary format (not supported by other
calendaring programs)?

For the first, save a calendar item as a vcal or ical and open it in
notepad. (vtodo is not supported).

I am looking for the latter: Outlook binary format.
