Question on different Project Managers

Hi,
I'm checking one admin project I have on Project Server and I just saw
something I cannot explain: how come the summary tasks are assigned to a
project manager (me) while the assignments for this summary tasks are
assigned to a different project manager? BTW I am still receiving all the
tasks updates.

Mauricio:

If your team is in the practice of assigning resources to summary tasks, you
must end this practice immediately. Remove all summary task assignments and
have the PM republish the plan. That should take care of things.

Are you referring to the name in the 'Project Manager' field on the tasks
page?

If so, that field comes from publishing assignments. Son't republish, but
if you open your schedule file in MSP Professional, and select
[Collaborate][Publish][Republish Assignments] you should see a checkbox
titled [Become the Manager for these assignments].

This is where the Project Manager field comes from. Did someone else
publish the entire plan first, then you took over the schedule, and
published new and changed assignments?

FYI: I'm using MSP 2002, not 2003.
