question on hammock task

I created a hammock task, and noticed the little grey box in the bottom right corner but it does not seem to do anything. Is it just an indicator ? How can I see what the links are for the hammock task ? I tried adding in the 2 tasks as precedessors so I would have a record but that caused the dates to changed based on the precedessors (keeping the duration established by the hammock condition) which is not what I wanted.
Thank

Click on the cell that has a little grey box. That will make the cell
active.

Now ... double-click on the cell. The cursor will jump to the linked cell.

If you have to "spell things out" for others using your schedule then use
the Notes column.

Hi Chris

Just this... the KB article on Hammock tasks explicitly says do not link
hammock tasks to predecessors not successors.
I could explain here in great length why but it's best to just remember.
Hammock tasks using OLE links should be left alone
(even more than summary tasks :)))
