Question Regarding Acepting TASK Changes

RAJ MATHUR

Hi All

I have a Question Regarding Acepting TASK Changes.

Q. Project Server always sends all the aprovals of the
task changes to the Project Manager Account which is
nothing but the account used for publishing to the project
file. Can their be more then one Project Manager Accounts
doing the Aprovals?

thanks in advance

Raj --

You can have multiple project manager who receive updates for different
sections of an individual project, but there can only be one project manager
for each task. Hope this helps.

Follow these steps:

1. The primary project manager for the project should open the project and
then pubish all assignments in the project by clicking Collaborate -
Publish - New and Changed Assignments
2. The primary project manager should save and close the project
3. Each additional project manager for the project should open the project
4. Each additional PM should select the tasks that he/she will be managing,
and then click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
5. In the Republish Assignments dialog box, make sure the "Selected Tasks"
option is selected at the top of the dialog box
6. Each PM should select "Become the manager for these assignments" and
then click OK
7. Repeat steps 3-5 for each additional PM

Following this procedure will cause Project Server to route the task updates
for each task to the proper project manager. Hope this helps.
