question regarding splitting tables

P

patricia

Another question. I would like to convert a table from a
database. When I import this into word I get the
information that should be on one row in two columns on
one row in one column (one field). Is there any way to
correct this???

Your question does not make sense. Can you elaborate?

I'm sorry, I find it hard to explain in words sometimes :)

I was given a table, however it's in word format e.g.

number

When you convert text to table, specify two columns, with | as the "Other"
character under "Separate text at."

Sorry but I still can't see what the issue is here - can you send me a copy
to look at?
