OKay, here is a strange question. I had a computer that obviously has some
bad sectors in my hard drive since it lost my profile completely one day.
Outlook 2003 ceased to exist on my computer cause it was missing some file.
I found my disk, inserted it, and now I have outlook 2003 again. But...all
my messages, contacts, calendar, etc are gone. I haven't had this computer
very long, so I never backed it up, but the information has to be saved
somewhere....can someone help me find it?

Try File, Open Outlook data file in Outlook and OL should find your pst file.
Back it up right away. Download OL Backup from the Office download site. You
can search for your pst file yourself, but you still must open it in Outlook.
It's a hidden file, so you need to be able to see hidden files and all
extensions. This all won't help you if you have not corrected any disk
errors. A failing hard drive will lose all your data. Run CHKDSK /R and
reboot to let it run to see if you can correct disk errors. Also, you might
be wrong about disk errors. If you are still under warranty, contact the
manufacturer for help.

All you need to do is find your .pst file with Outlook closed and copy it to a secure location like a jump drive or an external hard drive. No need to go through the hassles of downloading the Personal Folders Backup tool which is meant for incremental backups.

Copy the darn file, run chkdsk /r and see if it helps. If not, post back.
