Quick Access Toolbar

U

User

Hello

I would like to make a suggestion that an option be added to the Quick
Access Tool bar dialog box that gives a user the ability to apply the
customization of the bar to all MS applications. For example, it would be
nice if the customizing I set up for my Word Quick Access toolbar (adding
print preview & open buttons) would automatically display on the Excel,
Powerpoint, Access Quick Access toolbars.

thanks

It is not going to happen - Micosoft Windows already provides methods to
create toolbars for your applications. Windows Vista also provides a method
to display your shortcuts.

Hi Art,

Good suggestion :) FWIW, there may be some folks working on 3rd party tools for doing this. The QAT toolbar settings for each app
are stored in editable XML files, so you could, theoretically, cut and paste from one to the other to have the choice show up in
more than one QAT (by app, for example) but one of the issues is that not all of the apps use the same internal commands for similar
functions, so a lot of the QAT might end up 'greyed out' in one app or the other.

Be sure to download the MS Send-A-Smile feedback tool for the 2007 Office system and send in a screenshot and text for each
individual individual suggestion, bugs and feedback, using that tool. Be sure to include information that will be helpful to the
reviewers to understand your point of view on how something could be better.
