Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi there,

At the top left of the spread sheet is a green button to the right of the red button that close the screen. Does any one know of a quick key combination that emulates clicking the green button?

Thanks,

Command+W just closes the window. Thanks for the suggestion though. My guess the short cut will work for any application. But since I don't know that the name of the green button is I have no idea how to go about finding info on it.

Sorry, my bad - I gave you the stroke to *close* a doc window which is the
left-most (red) button 8-} I use the Graphite color scheme which doesn't
invoke the 'traffic light' so I misread what you wanted. The right-most
button in that group is the Maximize button. It doesn't have a keystroke
assigned to it by default but you can add one.

See Word Help on the topic: Create a custom keyboard shortcut

The command you want to add the stroke for is 'DocMaximize' in the 'Window
and Help' category. I use Control+Option+PageUp.
