Quotation and apostrophes copy with formatting symbols on Web.

Fomatting symbols keep showing up when I post a Word created document to the
web. I have cleared all formatting and reposted, but the problem continues to
occur. How can I correct this.

Hi,

Quote marks and apostrophes don't have anything to do with formatting marks
(formatting symbols?), and "clearing all formatting" will do nothing with
them either.

In Word, you can show formatting marks (¶·°¬...) to make editing easier.
When you post a Word document on the web, and a user downloads that document
and opens it in Word, there isn't anything you can do to keep him/her from
displaying them.
You might save as a web page, and post that, so the page is opened directly
in the browser, and not in a (client) Word window.

If you mean something else by "formatting symbols", could you describe what
you see, or post a link to your web page?

Regards,
Klaus

Thanks Klaus. It appears that the problem was in the blogging site itself, as
they have since remedied the situtation and the symbols no longer show (they
were Questions marks, square boxes, and ae with a line through the e and tiny
circles). I have never tried saving it as a web page. That sound like a good
idea as well. Thanks for your help.

I didn't realize you were blogging from Word, and don't have any experience
with it.
Hopefully it won't happen again...

Klaus
