Quotation mark showing up after using bullets

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I've been trying to use the "bullet formatting" button. It doesn't matter which font I use or which bullet type I use, but there is always a quotation mark following the bullet. If I manually insert a bullet (option 8) it doesn't do that. Plus that only gives me the one option for bullets. How can this be fixed?
Example: •" Bulleted text here

Apply the style "List Bullet" then customise it to your requirements.

When you customise it, check the "Add to template" box so it stores your
customisation forever.

See " Format your document by using styles" in the Word help for a video
course on how to use styles.

Cheers

Then you haven't tried it yet...

That still doesn't do anything.
