Quote only selected passage in forward or reply

How can I tell Outlook 2003 to include (only* the selected passage of a
message in a forward or reply. It's easy in Eudora, but now that I've
switched to Outlook I can't figure out how to do this. Thanks.

Sounds like a nice feature. In Outlook 2003 I just cut and paste the
text, then type <<Snip>> to indicate an extract.

Outlook doesn't have that feature. You'll have to do the snipping yourself.
My approach would be to have Outlook configured not to include the original
in the reply and select and copy the data in the original, pasting it in the
empty reply.

And I do the opposite - include the full reply and trim the parts I don't
need. If its just a small snippet, select and copy (ctrl+c) the snippet,
select all (ctrl+a) then paste.
