Raffle ticket numbering

Hi
I am, trying to number raffle tickets in word doc. Have followed the article
in WWW.pcuser.com.au which does number both the raffle stub and ticket,
The problem that i have is, i want to number the fist ticket on the page
number "1" and the second number "500" and the last "1000". This will enable
the munbers to run in sequence when printed. I.e. top of page 1, ticket 1,
top of page 2, ticket 2, etc. When I copy this format, the numbers do not
increase by one, but mearly copy the first page on

Any suggetions?

Regards

Brian

I gather that what you have is three tickets per page and that you want to
create 1500 tickets. I suggest that the second ticket on the first page
should be number 501 and the last ticket on the page should be 1001.

To do this, you should create a data source in Excel which has three columns
as follows

Ticket1 Ticket2 Ticket3
1 501 1001
2 502 1002
etc until
500 1000 1500

Then you use this file as the data source for a formletter type mail merge
in the main document of which, you have the three tickets set up with the
applicable mergefield appearing as many times as required (ticket and stub)
in each ticket.

When you execute the merge, you will then get 500 pages with the tickets
numbered as you want.
