Ran out of memory after 220 picture slides

My PowerPoint presentation of trip slides seems to have run out of memory after loading 220 picture slides. How can I increase the available memory? I have 80 more slides to load. Thanks.

System memory isn't something you can magically regulate through PPt... Or
any other application. Memory allocation is regulated by the operating
system. The best you can do is to make sure you have no other programs,
utilities or unnecessary background processes running so OS X can allocate
all available RAM to PPt. Even so, OS X can't allocate RAM the Mac doesn't
have & virtual memory (free disk space) is usually insufficiently available.

You can also try using the Link option available in the Insert< Picture
dialog. That will help keep the file size down.

Additionally, make sure the pictures are processed appropriately for
resolution & print/display dimensions using a decent graphics program before
you put them into your presentation. If you're just taking 5 megapixel
(i.e.) images dumped from your camera & sticking them into the file it's no
wonder the system resources are being taxed.

If you don't have any better luck then you'll need to increase the amount of
RAM in your Mac - assuming it isn't already maxed out. For what you are
trying to do, the more RAM the better & there's no such thing as "too much".
