=rand() in MS Word

Hello,
Does anyone know whether the =rand() feature (used for inserting a
block of text) in MS Word can be turned on or off? It it is not
working on my PC and I don't know how to turn it on.

In Menu: Tools / AutoCorrect Options... / AutoCorrect
tick "Replace text as you type" to turn this feature on.
