random font spacing

on a a fresh install of office, when the user prints a document,
occassionaly on the print, there is almost a double space between sequential
fonts, e.g E xample.

yet the onscreen appearance is correct, any ideas?

for info i have re installed the printer drivers, and it still happens.

Start by finding out what fonts are being used and whether font
substitution is occurring. Consider reloading the fonts in case of
font file corruption.
