Random letter spacings?

There seems to be random letter spacing between some letters, some spaced out too far, some are too close together. This happens in 2010.

I had the user forward me the document to test in 2013, and the document appears normal.

There is no formatting in the text, and justify is disabled.

Any idea what this could be?

Does this happen in any new document you start or only with one specific document?

It could be the spacing and indent settings in the paragraph menu...

Yeah it could be a kerning issue. In the Font settings, Advanced tab, check that the Scale is set to 100%, and the kerning box is unchecked.

And all the other settings are normal/default. See if that helps?
