Random sheet copying into new files

P

Phoenix2022

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel On occasions, when I click in a cell on a worksheet, the entire sheet re-appears as a sheet in a new workbook. The original workbook does not lose the sheet but, if I am not vigilant and spot what has happened, I end up modifying a worksheet different to the one I wanted to modify (and I have a completely new (one worksheet) workbook. Very annoying!

Has anyone else had this experience? Can it be resolved?

I have the same problem sometimes, though it only happens when I click on the worksheet name with my mouse or the trackpad ("click" not touch!)...

Sometimes it helps deleting the com.microsoft.Excel.plist (Excel preferences) from "/Library/Preferences" after closing Excel and restarting!

Let me know if it works for you as well!
