We are using FP2003 againest a IIS web server on Windows Server 2003. We do
not use any FrontPage extensions and do not have any FP specific permissions
set. i.e. we only use Active Directory (ADS) for permissions.
This setup works fine most of the time but randomly we get permission
problems. For example we be working along for a hour or so and suddenly we
try an opteration we have done dozens of time (say drag and drop a file into
the web from Windows Explorer) and we get FP specific permission errors (e.g.
You do not have permission to do the operation. Ask your web site
administratopr...). From that point on we can't even save open pages. All
open page changes are lost.
Any idea what is going on?
I can't find any help on how to use ADS with FP - certainly it works most of
the time - isn't ADS supported for security?
