Randomly Lost Outlook 2007 appointments

mlefebvre

I use Outlook 2007 Calendar to schedule patients in my medical practice.
Seemingly at random, some appointments are lost, often resulting in
scheduling another appointment in that time, causing two people to show up!
I am running Vista and have Activesync syncing the calendar with my Blackjack
II smartphone. Please help!

Are you doing a 2 way sync? If so, stop. Sync outlook to the device only.
Can you see the missing appointments in the By Category view? This is
caused by an active sync bug.

I am pretty sure it is a 2-way sync. I don't know how to make it one-way.
The only options I seem to find is overwrite the desktop or smartphone. Can
you tell me how to make it 1-way?

Also, is there anything more you can tell me about the activesync bug that
is causing this.

Thanks.

I haven't use active sync in years, but its somewhere in the settings on the
computer.

http://www.slipstick.com/problems/iphonesync.asp has info on the activesync
bug (in the beginning all the complaints were from iphone users) and a link
to a patch for exchange server's active sync. We're still waiting on a fix
for activesync for everyone else.

Actually, it is my understanding that those options were taken out of Vista
and ActiveSync 4.5.

So activesync is always a 2 way sync? I guess you'll need to wait for a fix
then.
