I imported some data from Access into a worksheet and named the range in the
External Data Range Properties dialog.
The name of the access query subsequently changed so I had to delete the
range (using the Insert -> Name -> Define menu) and reimport the query so
that the data could be refreshed and lookup formulae in other worksheets
referring to the range would work.
When I try to import the query and give it the same name, I get the error
message 'A query with this name already exists on this sheet'.
This has happened to me in the past, and I have found that if you close &
save the Excel workbook after deleting the range, then reopen and reimport,
using the same range name works.
What could be happening in this workbook that is not allowing me to do this?
