Ranking Colums???

Dr,Bob

I have a spread sheet I use to count parts lets say 15 different parts I
need to list them in order a certain order by the part number and the order
can not change.
column B has a formula which gives me the total number of parts used (adds
d1 to k1)
I need column C to show the rank of the part for that row and not change the
order of the part numbers. Is there a formula that will show in column C as
1 being the most common used part & 15 the least? Thanks in advance

Hi Bob,

You may want to post this in the Excel newsgroup (link below)
and include the version of Excel you're using.
The information in Chip Pearson's page on ranking here
may be helpful to you
