rar. extension ?

I received an attachment that has an rar. extension. I have Microsoft Outlook
and I can't open it. Any suggestions as to how I may be able to see it?

It's like a zip file, but you need to download something to open it,
this will do it:
http://www.7-zip.org/

WinRAR or WinZip will open it.
