RBS outline code scrambled and erratic- SP2

After opening the enterprise resource pool I am unable to change the RBS
field for any users? When I select the pull down the outlines are not what
they should be as ordinally inputted into the RBS. I then open the enterprise
global template and select customize fields. On first try it also is
similarly scrambled. I Click on a couple of + and - signs close it and reopen
and now the RBS is as it should be. I try and go back to the enterprise
resource pool and RBS codes are still in the messed up state.

In PWA resource center the RBS outline code is fine and I can edit a
resource from here into the proper RBS breakdowns.

This all started once I applied the service pack 2.

FYI, I have the same problem with any outline codes that have more than 3
levels in it.

I too am having this same problem. Does anyone know a fix for this ? It
has become very annoying. A result of this is that Portfolio Managers do not
see projects for their Project Managers because the RBS does not seem to be
working properly.

I also noticed that the same thing is happening with Enterprise Project
Outline Codes. You have to collapse all, then expand all. But the problem
not resolved is that the RBS is acting irrationally. Portfolio Managers are
not seeing all Projects for which their RBS structure should allow them to
view these projects. That is the big concern.

David,

You are correct, I have the same issues with the other outline codes as
well. I have sent the requested files to microsoft for them to take a look at
it. How about you, are you getting any help anywhere? I will post any replies
I get.

Don't try to edit the data, which should be correct in the database. The
problem seems to be in the way Project is displaying the data. You can
always revert back to your last known good configuration, or you can sit
tight until we get more feedback from Redmond.

Hello,

we are encoutered problems with srambled Enterprise Project
Outline Codes. Is this a client SP2 issue or an Project Server SP2 issue?

Greetings

Tobias:

This is an issue with the Project client. If you open your Enterprise
Global, do not save it. The underlying data should be OK as long as you
don't do this. You might consider reverting to your previous state, for now.

This becomes a major problem when you go into the RBS and try to modify or
add information to the RBS. I cannot get the system to display what is
actually in the database so it becomes impossible to make required changes
that my organization wants to implement. This is a mess..... It is
critical that this gets resolved right away.

1. Client : XP, MS Project 2003 SP2, Server: W2K, MS Project Server 2003 SP2.

We too have this problem in the production machine and it is causing a
bottleneck for usability.
While assinging values in the project using Project Pro, I could not expand
+ and contact -. Also I could not see list values from level 3 and more.

I added the missing values and closed and reoped the Ent Glob Temp. The
added values are missing!.

Looking forward to see a resolution.

2. But an interesting observation from my test machine :
While assinging values in the project using Project Pro, I COULD expand +
and contact -. Also I COULD SEE list values from level 3 and more. But when I
click on edit button I DO NOT see the values from level 3 and up.

Same Client as in case 1 : XP, MS Project 2003 SP2, Server: W2K, MS Project
Server 2003 SP2. Probably I would have rerun the SP2 again on this test
server.

Let's wait for a fix from Microsoft.
