Re-assigning a task after delegation

Can a re-assignment be done using PWA? Consider this simple and common
case:

Suppose Harry delegates a task to Jim with Harry staying the lead. The
project manager accepts the update and publishes it.

Then Harry wants to re-assign it instead to Bill.

Is this possible through the delegation function?

Kevin, the team builder function is on Project Pro and we only give project
managers that software. Harry is a resource manager with only PWA access.

Does Harry need updates on his team's work (includes Jim and Bill)? Yes,
and the PM does not.

You seem to be suggesting that I can delegate twice. Can you tell me how,
because when I tried as Harry, I got the message that the task could not be
delegated since it was only a "tracking delegation copy".

Thx so much!

If Harry delegates a task to Jim with Harry in the Lead role, AND the
project manager has approved and updated the delegation request, then Harry
cannot delegate the task to Bill. Harry could choose to reassign the Lead
role for the task to Bill, but he cannot delegate the work on the actual
task to Bill.

On the other hand, Jim could delegate the task to another resource, but Jim
could maintain the Lead role for this task because Harry is already the
Lead. Hope this helps.

Hall:

If your resource managers have to deal with many constant reassignments, you
should consider giving them Project Pro to work with.
