Re-connecting to gmail, not all e:mails being picked up

Had to re-stage my computer, re-loaded everything. After configuring Outlook
to sync up with my gmail, there was a momentary blip (disconnect) in my
wireless service and the process was momentarily halted. It then re-started,
and began grabbing everything -- including the 600+ e:mails it had grabbed
before being interrupted (everything was being duplicated). I halted it,
deleted all of the email and duplicates in the inbox, and started again by
clicking "send/receive." This worked, mostly, except that this time it
started two months into the mail file. I am missing the first two months of
my gmail account, and I can't figure out how to import it into Outlook
without duplicated everything else. I'm not ever sure I can delete
everything and start it all over again. Any ideas? We're talking about
100-150 e:mails. Thanks!

Are you using a POP or an IMAP account to access gmail? Sounds like the
former. There are several things you can do. One is to switch to using
IMAP. Another is to create a new PST, make it the delivery location, allow
Outlook to download everything again into that PST, then switch the delivery
location back to the original PST. Another is to get a duplicate eliminator
program. You can find some here, one of which is free:
