Re Excel Tool Bars

I have toolbars 'standard' & 'formatting' checked
Following latest update toolbar does not appear.
But it does it I do the following
Uncheck 'formatting'
Recheck 'formatting' and toolbar appears but empty
Click on it and all icons appear.

This problem is now ever present.
If I create new excel - no toolbars
If I open saved excel - no toolbars

Is there some sort of prefs file that may have got corrupted??

Possibly. You don't say what version you have, but you can try, with XL
closed (or else it won't work), deleting whichever of these files you
have:

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Excel Toolbars(10)

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Excel Toolbars(11)

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Office 2008:Excel Toolbars (12)


Make sure you've updated to the latest version of your software.
