Re. Headers & Footers

I want to put a different header on everypage. How?

I also want to put page numbering in the footer but don't
want to use sections because then I have two problems,
the page numbering starts counting over and when I use
section breaks (for the header problem) when printing I
get a blank page after each section. Not to mention that
I have to then manually put in the page numbers.

I don't understand how to use the styleref you had
suggested.

Thank You,
Julie

What is the different header you want to put on every page? Does it reflect
anything in your text?

please quote the message you are replying to so that we can have some
context.

If the text you want to appear in your header is on the page, or on the
previous page, you can reference that text very much like you would
reference a bookmark. You place this text inside of a particular style
(that isn't used except for this purpose) and then you insert a field in
your header called a styleref field which indicates which style you've been
using to indicate the text to be referenced.

You could also use bookmarks and a cross-reference field, but you'd need to
come up with a unique bookmark name for each page.
