re-initalize not working

hi, i have a windows xp machine running on a w2k network,
i added a network printer to the machine, when the user
tryed to open a document, it said windows office noticed
signifant changes in your computer and needs to
reintenialize(sp). this is ok but when i put the disk in,
it runs through the process and then and then when the
doc. trys to open it fails and orfice shuts down (saying I
have comited a terminal error) then it wants to run the re-
intinal process again and fails everytime.
yes i did log as admin to install the printer and to do
the orfice intinalze.
any help would be appericated thank you

What happens if you start Word without loading a document?

Also you provided the operating system and network operating system,
can you also provide the version of Word you are using the patches
installed?

sorry about that, orfice 10(xp) sp1, also the os is sp 1
too. any ideay what caused this querk? i belive the system
seemed to clear after a reboot. so thanks i think is under
control now
