Re-install

I saved my groove account :account_for_(me).grv then switched to a new
computer, new version of groove.
Install asks for my file but says "Saved account for j.p is too old and
cannot be installed. Please import a more recently saved version of this
account.

File: MIME-Version 1.0 (Groove 2), Content-Type: application/WBXML

It says save it again with newer version, but I can't because the prior
computer is defunct.

Isn't there a migration path that can read my account.grv ? Thanks!

Hi,

Let me explain this issue to you: Account data is valid only for 60 days
whether it is transferred to groove.net by using the multiple computers
function, manually saved as a file, or saved by automated company backup. Old
accounts are difficult to synchronize. If Groove accepts account data that is
more than 60 days old, some Groove services may not be able to synchronize
with the original computer.

According the error messge, your account backup file is expired. For more
information, please refer to the following KB article:

916331 Error message when you try to import a Groove account on a new
computer: "Saved account for name is too old and cannot be used"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;916331

Since your old computer has already crashed, there is no other way to
restore the old account. Therefore, I would like to suggest you can create a
new Groove Account with a different Account name. Then, send your new v-card
to other members and telling them delete your old contact and add the new
v-card to their contact list.

Let the Managers of the workspaces to re-invite to back to the spaces.
