Microsoft support had me re-install XP by formating and
clean install of XP due to other problem. Of course I
backed up my "My Webs" to CD first. I copyed "My Webs"
back to "My Documents". I open FP2003 and made 1 simple
change to a website and hit publish. It said 3 hours to
publish. Seems like it wanted to publish the entire site,
not just the change I made. Any suggestions would be
helpful.

I have had similar problems. It seems that if you save a
published web on to CDRom it 'curdles' it when you reload
to your hard disk. There are well set out steps to go
through in Microsoft support 825447 How to Publish a Web
Site to a CD-R or a CD-RW in FrontPage in 'Copy a Disk-
Based Web Site from a CD to a Hard Disk'. These work to
the extent of allowing me to make edited changes to my
website - I use CuteFtp for transfer of files, and until I
did this although it went through the motions nothing was
altered when I went on to the internet to check - but I am
still havung problems with shared borders which are very
difficult as the 'borders' file doesn't appear in
FrontPage, and FrontPage also says that none of my
hyperlinks are working, although they are doing so on the
internet. I am almost at the stage of saying well it
ain't broke, so I will give up trying to fix it but hate
having it imperfect. Hope the bit about the CD back up
may help you, it certainly saved my sanity but would love
any suggestions for my ongoing problems. Regards, Jo
