rE-INSTALLING MICROSOFT OFFICE UPGRADE

D

dickiedoo

I recently had to replace my mother board, nothing on my disk drive was
damaged and my Microsoft programs still reside on the drive. When I try to
access any Office program I get an error "this action only valid for products
that are currently installed."

I am using Office 2002, which was the upgrade version to an earlier version.
So I tried to install it, my product key was accepted but got an error that
it could not find and qualified program on the system.

Since I already have Office 2002 on the system why doesn't the program
execute?

Also, if it is indeed on disk, why doesn't it allow me to reinstall?

What can I do to get my office working again.

You'll need to find the older Office installation CD
you used originally to qualify for installing the
Upgrade Version of your new Office product.
Without it, you cannot install.

Products that qualify for the Microsoft Office XP upgrade
