Re-installing Office 2000 Pro

S

Sharon

I had to replace a motherboard, that meant I had to
reload Windows XP. I then proceeded to reload Office
2000 Pro. The first disk loads (Word, Excel, Access,
Powerpoint). The second disk starts an install for
Publisher, ClipArt Gallery, etc. But, it does not finish
the install. I have gotten the error code "Internal
Error 2349. Contact product support."

I have looked up the code in 'error codes' and can't find
any answers. I really need help for this one.

Thanks,

Sharon,

I am having the exact same problem. My hard drive
crashed. I replaced the hard drive, installed windows
98, then the windows xp upgrade. I went to install
office 2000. The first cd was ok. Went to install 2nd
cd and got the same error. I realize now I should have
installed office before winxp, but who knew. If you get
an answer, can you please email me at
[email protected]. I am going to call microsoft
but I dont want to pay for it. If I get some help, I
will be happy to pass it along.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I went to the address given below and
followed the instructions. The solution was so simple.
I am sorry I did not respond earlier. The solution was
to load the 2nd disk on a cd rom - NOT on a RW-rom. I
put the 2nd disk in the old rom drive. It booted
immediately, worked a few minutes, and said "DONE". My
publisher was back, my clipart, and most of all-my sanity.

Thanks again, so very much.
