Re-installing Office

R

rob

I bought a retail version of office XP when it came out and installed it on
my old laptop which is 4-5 years old. I recently bought a new laptop
computer and would like to install office XP on this one. I plan on having
the hard drive on the old laptop completely erased and donating it to
charity. What I would like to know is:
1. Can I do this without violating the EULA,
2. Will I have any problems with activating office XP on the new laptop,
3. Is the process of installing and activating the same as if I bought
another retail office XP

Thanks for the help.

1. Yes.
2. No. At worst, you may need to use the telephone option if you last
activated in less than 120 days prior.
3. Yes, including the need to have a qualifying product CD available for
verification {you do not need to install the qualifying product, just insert
the CD when asked} if you are installing a upgrade version. A non-upgrade
version does not need a qualifying product.
