I had just gone thru with my Microsoft word Normal.dot and had to rename it.
Then when I opened up my outlook I had to start a new account, (redo it) I
lost all my email that I had saved. Is their any ay to get that back?
Thanks

Nothing you can do to Word's normal.dot can have any effect whatsoever on
Outlook's data store. What else did you do?
The usual place for Outlook's data store is %UserProfile%\Local
Settings\Application data\Microsoft\Outlook. Enter that path in Windows
Exporer's address bar and look for a file ending in ".pst". That should be
your message store. Open it in Outlook with File>Open>Outlook Data File to
see if it contains your missing items.

I don't know what else I did but I found the Data File and it says open with.
I have no listed program to open it. It takes me to the Microsoft office web
site for outlook

You don't "open with" a PST from Windows. You start Outlook and open it
with File>Open>Outlook Data File, as I altready said.
